KEEP LIVE MUSIC IN WEST CAMPUS!

How can a minority make decisions for the majority of people living in an area? If not repealed outright, these ordinances must be brought to referendum. If the City chooses to mar the face of democracy by ignoring our appeals for referendum, we will have been discriminated against, based on our young age and socioeconomic position, from our constitutional and natural rights to democracy; and thereby forced to seek other remedy, legal or otherwise. This is about more than outdoor concerts, this is an opportunity to set the precedent of equal representation in the making of laws which directly affect our lives and the lives of those who will come to take our places in West Campus, and to realign the priorities of our policy makers to fit the needs of the majority instead of the will of a minority.

Keep West Campus what it is and has been for decades, if not hundreds of years. It is a safe alternative and a true Texas tradition. If you don't want loud noise then don't live on a college campus.

How can you restrict live music in the "Live Music Capitol of the World"?

I don’t understand how this is even legal. What defines “disturbing the peace”? Could I try and pass a law stating that no one in my neighborhood can have a bbq outside because the smell is irritating my nose?

If you are buying a house a ON-CAMPUS, you are essentially a part of the student culture and neighborhood. Live music brings people together and facilitates friendships and good-natured fun .

That is so stupid. Don't buy a relatively cheap house and then complain about the people that love around you... Which is why your property was cheap!

West campus is not a party district, nor is it strictly a typical residential area. Given this special circumstance, it is not fair to attack the lifestyle of the majority for the sake of a small minority.
