West Campus is the students' place, where we should be free to express ourselves without being restricted by "older residents" who chose to live in the student living area.

These escalated enforcement endeavors not only have the effect of taking away one of the consummate collegiate experiences in having shows at parties, but also removes a bit more of the spirit of West Campus and Austin itself. Austin calls itself the "Live music capital of the world" because wherever you go, you can find a band or just someone playing and bringing music to the city. It's obvious the city has no problem crushing the Austin out of Austin, but it's my sincere hope that they will reconsider and stop the bleeding before we become just a smaller, more-cramped Dallas.

This is such a tight knit community, ridding it of its awesome music scene is just plain horrid. KEEP IT FUN AND COMMUNAL!

Resident complaints and restrictive policies are becoming the downfall of what I used to proudly call "The Live Music Capital of the World," Austin. First there were the restrictions placed on clubs along the Red River District that have made shows end much earlier than previously and made the live music experience of Austin much less fun. West Campus has been a home to rowdy students for decades, and that isn't likely to change. For the high rent, it is baffling to me why "older residents" would want to live among so many students, anyway. Realistically, the noise will continue with or without police intervention. Let's not kill the live music aspect of it, given that that is an art form at the heart of this city's manifesto.
