Music and music education are top priorities for our family. The benefits are long-term and far-reaching. There must be a way to keep our school music programs intact.

Quality Music Education in Mill Valley is a very strong tradition. Joe Angiulo and Bob Greenwood are legends in California Music Education circles. As the Music Director at Tam High for the past 19 years I have benefitted greatly from the excellent program at MVMS. At Tam we have the only Symphonic Orchestra and the only traditional Choral program in the district, this is due in large part to the quality education offered at MVMS. Cuts to there program would not only effect MVMS and Tam but also this rich heritage shared by generations of Mill Valley families and residents.

My kids loved the music program at MVMS and Strawberry and benefited greatly from their participation. It would be a shame for this program and these wonderful teachers to be cut. A music education is important for many reasons.

The music program is a huge part of the positive experience my son is having in middle school, especially 6th grade jazz band. Please support music in our schools!

Please don’t cut the music programs!!! Our kids have benefited so much from them and it’s truly one of the unique aspects that currently make Mill Valley schools so wonderful.

Please help save the music programs for the kids. We’ve been glad to see our Kiddo dollars put to work there. Not everyone in our community can afford super expensive after school sports and music is a wonderful program for all children.

We need MORE music, not less. Our music/band/orchestra/chorale teachers are amazing and put a tremendous amount of time and energy into our program. My kid has blossomed and found “his people” in the band program.
