Ms. Killian (along with Ms. Kingrea) was a lifesaver to my daughter during her difficult middle school years. I don't know how she would have made it through without Ms. Killian. Ms. K is now my son's favorite teacher. If STM loses her, they will be letting go of 1 of the top 2.

Ms. Killian was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She had so many qualities in her teaching and her projects were great. I couldn't of asked for a better teacher and she deserves to stay at St. Thomas More.

It has brought me to tears to read all the comments supporting my dear friend and colleague, Pat Killian. To see the love and respect displayed here by her students of today and those from the past is why we teach. She is an amazing person who gives 100% of her heart and soul to "her kids". I have been blessed to work along-side Pat, and to have taught such wonderful and caring young people.

Pat Killian presented course content including a creative element that was a fresh class in my two sons` academic day. It encouraged group collaboration that was imperative for highschool preparation.

When I think back to my kids' time at STM middle school, Mrs. Killian's class was a high point. Her project-based "hands on" instruction taught entrepreneurship and teamwork in a unique way. Students learned to appreciate other cultures and found her class interesting and memorable.

We are fortunate that both of our kids had Mrs Killian while at STM. Both truly enjoyed her personal approach to embracing history. She has truly been a positive influence on both our children.

Pat Killian is an independent thinker, a free spirit and a gifted teacher. She allows the students to learn in a perhaps less traditional and less linear fashion - I think she adds balance to the whole staff. All have strengths and weaknesses and are better as a whole.

I am not in middle school yet but my brother says that she is a great teacher and it would be a blessing to keep, We love You Mrs. Killian

Mrs. Killian has only taught me for one year, but her expertise and knowledge should stay at STM.

Mrs. Killian has been one of the most creative teachers my kids Maria STM class of 2006 and Fran class of 2013 have had.. She has taught them respect, independance, responsability, love for differet cultures, acceptance of differences. -Maria Romano (Mom)
"I was in disbelief to hear that such an amazing teacher and an even better person would no longer be teaching at STM. Mrs. Killian teaches based on respesct and treats her students like adults. The projects that she gave us where a great step away from the text book work in all our other classes. These projects are not only fun and completly student based, you learn so much. I can still talk about things I learned in the Africa project and the Asian market was one of my favorite memories from STM. The world histroy I learned from her helped me freshmen year and even this year in AP world histroy. She is by far the most memorable teacher of STM and I know I'm not the only alumni that thinks this way. STM would lose their best asset and I believe that every grade to come should have a chance to share the same memories and love for a teacher that we all have." - Fran Romano

When I first heard the news about Mrs. Killian, I was speechless! Not just is Mrs.Killian a fantastic teacher, but she is also huge role model to me. Unlike any other teacher she trusts her students, which is hugely refreshing and sets us up for living in the real world! Honestly, she is the only teacher that I have had that lets us expand our knowledge on what is happening around us
