Ms. Gau got helped get my son through high school. When he was having trouble, she stepped in and personally helped. She went out of her way to do so. She didn't have two do what she did, but did it because she wants every Alleman student to succeed and she is the epitome of a Christian! What you did is not very Christian. Letting someone go without a reason. I cannot imagine what she could have done to deserve this. And your supposed to be the religious leadership!

Ms. Gau is a HUGE asset to this school, its students, faculty, culture, administration, and community. She is Alleman.

Ms. Gau is a great asset to Alleman and everyone associated with the school. To make her leave will hurt the students and staff. She has made a huge impact on the school in the decades that she has been there.

Ms. Gau was an absolutely amazing asset to Alleman. They would be losing such a great person if they did this. I pray that they change their mind!

Michelle Gau is one of the most dedicated, hard working people that I know. ALLEMAN High School only works if she's there!

Over The Years, Ms. Gau Has Had And Continues To Have A Huge Impact On The Students At Alleman. For The Dioscese To Let Her Go Without A Reason Is Crazy!

Email to: [email protected] Dear Diocese of Peoria Superintendent, First, thank you for your service to the Diocese of Peoria. I have been a lifelong member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island, and a graduate of both Jordan and Alleman Schools. I know that your job is challenging, and I know that due to confidentiality that you cannot share reasons for termination. However, I am writing this in support of Ms. Michelle Gau. It has been brought to my attention that Ms. Gau has been dismissed from her administrative position at Alleman High School. I wish to express my strong endorsement for Ms. Gau. I am both a parent of a graduate, and a former student of Ms. Gau's. I have two Master’s degrees, in Elementary Education and in Educational Leadership. I worked in a public school system for 17 years, and this past year in a K-12 Catholic school. I have worked with many teachers and school administrators over the years, and have found Ms. Gau to be both professional and fair. I remember her working with me after school many times when I was having trouble understanding Algebra as a student many years ago. She is a fixture at Alleman and it saddens me to think that someone who encouraged me not to give up is being dismissed. As an administrator, Ms. Gau's job is very difficult. I know because I am currently a Catholic school administrator. Being in this position means that you are gossiped about, criticized, and even disliked by many parents who do not agree with a decision, or who want special treatment for their own child. It is a lonely job in many ways, and often it turns out that people you trust are not loyal. Finally, I firmly believe that everything Ms. Gau does is with the intent of bettering the students' educational experience. She is committed to the students, to Alleman, and to Christ. I can't imagine what she could have possibly done to warrant this action, but I do know that our faith calls for forgiveness. I believe Alleman is blessed to have a

Ms. Gau is a huge part of Alleman High School. She has a huge impact on the students. If she is removed from her position, this will have a very negative affect on the students. Ms. Gau is just one of the pieces to the success at Alleman, removing her from her position would be detrimental to Alleman.

Michelle Gau is a huge part of the Alleman community & history. I feel they are makingthe biggest mistake. She has always been there for every student that had walked those halls. I pray that theychange their mind and realize what a mistake they are making.

Email to: [email protected] Dear Diocese of Peoria Superintendent, I was shocked and saddened when I heard about the possibility that Ms. Gau may not be returning to Alleman. Frankly, I don’t know how the school will operate without her. One of my children just graduated from Alleman this year and my other child will be a freshman in the fall. I am concerned now of what the state of the school will be for my incoming freshman without Ms. Gau’s guidance. She is devoted to the mission of Alleman High School and truly cares for the students. Some people say that everyone is replaceable but in this case the Diocese must be prepared to hire at least five individuals to handle the responsibilities and workload that Ms. Gau takes upon herself. Even then, none will have the heart or dedication that Ms. Gau has for Alleman and its students. She is probably only second to the legendary Father Mirabelli in her love for and dedication to this school. I ask that the Diocese reconsider and recognize the devastating impact that this decision will have on the Alleman Family.

Michelle Gau wouldn't take the life size KKK doll out of the display case next to the virgin mary statue. She is a racist bigot and should have gotten let go years ago. My four years at Alleman were terrible and it's because of her. I'll be glad to see her go. This petition is bullshit.

If this does occur I think the Diocese will lose even more people and with all the bad things in past years that our Diocese is noted for they certainly don't need this. Miss Gau is ALLEMAN HIGH SCHOOL and without her it will be hard to carry on the name. She has done immeasurable things in her years there including the Food Bank Drive she wins almost every year, takes time after school for kids who needs help, even ran a extra class for kids one year struggling in Math. These are just to name a few of thousands of things she has done. Whatever your reason it cannot possible measure up to her value at the High School. Please reconsider your decision, your followers are both watching and waiting to react. You owe us all an explanation, you work for us remember.

I can NOT imagine what would cause you to do this? I have known her to be nothing but an asset at Alleman. I am a graduate of Alleman myself, as were my 4 siblings. And the mother of 3 children who are graduates of Alleman. Two, who went on to become teachers themselves. My son coached at Alleman for 4 years. Whatever your reason is? Does it affect her job at Alleman? That's the question I want you to answer.

Michelle Gau is the prime example of what a Christ-like person is. She, along with Father Mirabelli, embody Alleman's "Touch of Class" slogan. She has gone above and beyond for so many people and students, including myself, and given her life to Alleman and it's employees and students. The people worst affected by this dismissal aren't Ms. Gau or the teachers..but, the current and future students of Alleman High School. That is the saddest fact of this heartbreaking situation.

I had the pleasure of being a student of Ms. Gau. Her teaching skills helped me grow and be successful in life. I have stayed in touch and found her to be an outstanding diplomat and promoter for Alleman. This is very unfortunate but very typical of our Diocese. I hope that Ms Gau remembers that the Alleman Family appreciates her and what she has done. I pray God will watch over her during this time.

A lot of great things are to be said about Ms. Gau, but the truth is she was a vital part to my Alleman experience. In short, she is excellent at what she does and Alleman would not grow and advance as it has without her. I will always value and respect her for how she helped me, and should serve as a role model for any teacher or administrative personnel across the board.
