A terrible injustice to transfer such an amazing counselor. She makes a difference!

Mrs. Freedman is a asset to the students and transferring her sets a negative precedence!

Unbelievable that the high school administration would make such a drastic error in judgment. Shame on those who have no forethought regarding the consequences of their actions.

mrs freedman has been an excellent asset to all the students and families at CHS. I find It most upsetting the district would "flush out" not only her but both the other fabulous counselors at CHS leaving our kids with a counselor that's been pretty much out on leave for 2 years! Who???? is thinking of the kids??? Seriously..... putting her in the middle school....almost like a slap in the face for every high school student working hard and striving to get into a good college. WE ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS OUR COUNSELORS...AND WE HAD SOME GREAT ONES! Put our kids first...and KEEP FREEDMAN AT CHS!

At the mock admissions seminar this spring at CHS, the college admissions representatives stressed the importance of the "counselor recommendation". At CHS, our students are already put at a disadvantage with the large number of students per counselor. Constant changes in the counseling staff only increase this disadvantage as the recommendation becomes more generic and less personal. CHS can not afford to lose the expertise Mrs. Freedman had accumulated in her field and the relationships she has established with her students, especially the seniors.

I am a concerned grandmother and after reading how wonderful Mrs. Freedman is, I want her to be a part of the high school that my granddaughter will be attending this fall. I know how very important good counselors are and how very much they are needed. Thank yoiu very much.

She has always been amazing and done everything to help me and not pass me along like many of the school staff. I really wish her the best in this situation because she truly cares about her job and has a passion for it!

You are making a terrible mistake by moving Mrs. Freedman. You are not only cutting a program that has been so impactful on the students, my daughter included, but you are also removing one of the best features of CHS....Lauren Freedman. Shame on you all!

CHS needs some continuity. Every year our APs are transferred to other schools. Lauren Freedman is a wonderful counselor and it doesn't make sense to send her to another school.
