Mr. Tran is a counselor beyond compare. I have seen firsthand how his dedication, professionalism and commitment to student success has made all the difference in the lives of my 3 children. My daughter’s accomplishments at the University of Redlands are a direct result of his mentoring and guidance, while Mr. Tran’s encouragement, support and advocacy have been instrumental in my son reaching his goal of attending UC Santa Cruz. My youngest is currently developing his college goals with the help of Mr. Tran, a process I would very much like to see successfully completed. Reducing his hours at PHS is decidedly not in the best interest of PHS or PHS students. Please allow PHS students to have the full benefit of Mr. Tran’s counseling, something that has been so crucial to the success of my children.

Mr. Tran’s value is clear to anyone who has ever worked with him. He builds personal relationships with his students and families and his commitment and support is invaluable and unparalleled. He has supported my children throughout their academic careers (regardless of which counselor they were assigned to) from middle school thru college for my oldest two (Classes of 2010 and 2012) and now for my youngest (Class of 2019). Sounds like we need to find a qualified counselor for Marshall. It would be a disservice to students at both PHS and Marshall to try to chop Mr. Tran in half!

Mr. Tran has been a wonderful teacher , friend and counselor of all 6 of my children. He has guide all of them the college . I have 4 college graduates one sophomore and one senior at PHS. I think PHS students would miss out on a wonderful opportunity if he leaves

Although Mr. Tran is not my counselor, he has been very helpful in guiding me and solving any conflicts I've had these past two years. It would be in the students' best interest to keep Mr. Tran at Pasadena High School.
