Mr. Tran is the type of counselor PHS needs. His guidance helped me succeed throughout high school, and prepare for college. Splitting him between campuses will neither benefit Marshall, or PHS. Hope this signature helps Tran as much as he's helped me. (c/o 2014)

Fantastic counselor and person. Mr. Tran is one of the biggest assets PHS has. He is an incredibly supportive and knowledgable counselor that works tirelessly to help students. It would be a shame to divide his efforts.

Mr. Tran has helped me and my two sons more times than I can count. He even responds to e-mails long after school hours and on weekends. He gave my son Tanner, class of 2016, wise counsel when my son would not take our advice. Mr. Tran is the one who solves the kids and parents problems.

One of the best counselors there is and will ever be. Do not split him up and compromise his abilities to help students.

Mr.Tran's guidance and support contributed to my success in high school. I attend UC Irvine today because of his help - possible only because he was a counselor for PHS only. Splitting his time between PHS and Marshall will not allow students at either school to utilize his help to its fullest. Keep Mr.Tran at PHS!!

Mr Tran has been an amazing teacher for several years and has really made a huge difference in my life. Had it not been for him I'm not sure if I would have accomplished the same things. He is an assett to any school he is apart of and will truly inspire many. Please don't get rid of him you would truly be sorry.

Both my daughters were fortunate to have Mr. Tran as their counselor at PHS (Classes of 2012 and 2016). He guided them every step of the way throughout their high school careers from their first days as freshmen, through university apps, graduation and beyond, staying in contact with them during their college years. The concern, care and guidance that Mr. Tran provides for all of his students at PHS — and even those who are not his — is outstanding, and quite frankly, amazing. He must have a photographic memory because he remembers details specific to each student — and their parents — and makes everyone feel special. Have a question or concern? He is always a phone call or text away. If a student needs to talk, his door is always open. His dedication is without equal. When my older daughter was at PHS, Mr. Tran was moved to another location for a time and there was outrage — and with good reason. He was plucked from a school where he was serving hundreds of students at the start, in the middle or at the end of their high school experiences and they were going to be denied having him see them through to the end. The PUSD saw the light and returned him to his post at PHS. I trust they will see it again and will let Mr. Tran continue to help the students at PHS on a full-time basis, where he is needed and beloved. As others have already stated, it would be a disservice to the students at both schools if Mr. Tran were forced to split his time between PHS and Marshall — and would be a potentially stressful situation for him. He doesn't deserve that.
