Mr. Tran helped my three children (classes of '14, '15, '17) very effectively. As a counselor, he is well versed in every aspect of education and has a great passion for his students. Students in PHS need Mr. Tran

Mr. Tran helped my two children going to good universities, and he led my third child to choose appropriate courses in his senior year and encouraged him not to give up. Every time I visited him, he welcomed me and spent much time discussing about my children.

My kid will graduate year of 2018
He have been helping her to set goals and planning her future ahead of time. Encouraged her to take classes in PCC which she did this past summer.
He is a great counselor, he is a jewel of PHS.

Mr.tran was amazing I love him he was really cool and he always looked out for me when it came to my classes and was always on me telling me to go to class and do good his a really good counselor phs has to keep it class of 2011

Mr. Tran is such a valuable asset to PHS and splitting his time would be such a disservice to all of our students. He has given my son such valuable academic advice and has been accessible not only to our son, but to us, as parents. This has made our experience at PHS a much more positive one. We're now concerned for our son as well as those PHS students who need even more academic counseling and guidance. By being at PHS full time, Mr. Tran can continue to make a difference as evidenced by this petition. His commitment to student success isn't limited to just academics -- he is truly dedicated to all the student groups he is involved in. To PUSD, please leave Mr. Tran at PHS full time.

Mr. Tran has been a wonderful counselor for PHS and my grandson. He services are needed and better served at PHS.

This is our first year at PHS. We have a 9th grader, and an 11th grader who transferred in this year. Although Mr. Tran is not our assigned counselor, our 11th grader had to go to him for a question regarding a matter that he is in charge of. She was SO impressed by his advice, knowledge and sincerity, that he is now our "go to" counselor for all things PHS. After just one meeting with her, he recognizes her when he sees her on campus, which tells me that he recognizes her as an individual, not just another student. I have seen the district split other staff members between various schools - it just doesn't work as well for all parties involved. PLEASE P.U.S.D., consider the well being of your district's students and make that your top priority in this matter.

mr tran has and always been one of the fun parts of my time at phs he always cheers people up and has a great atitude and he is in general a great councler

I have aspirations to continue my education and am eager to become part of PHS. I've been in meetings my family has had with Mr. Tran and I feel comfortable knowing that he will be my counselor. Please keep Mr. Tran at PHS full-time so when my generation is there, we can have the same dedication and encouragement from Mr. Tran like our older brothers and sisters have with him.
Invest in us, the future students of PHS. Thank you.

Our first introduction to PHS was a meeting with Mr. Tran at our Middle School. Our confirmation that we made the right choice in schools was our 2nd meeting with Mr. Tran during coffee with the Principal. Mr. Tran was my child's counselor until my student chose a pathway program. Even so, Mr. Tran has never in the course of 3.25 years at PHS, turned either my child or my self away when we need assistance.
Mr. Tran has a welcoming smile, a pleasant disposition, dedication to students and is determined to help in any manner he can, each student, succeed. Our school needs Mr. Tran's commitment to success of each student is what makes PHS the right school for students and their syblings. He handles many different facets of PHS and his communication skills are excellent!
We need Mr. Tran fulltime to give him the ability to continue to fulfill his promise to PHS students. He's a Bull Dog and should remain one!

Mr. Tran has been a vital asset to PHS. Since he took on the role of advisor for the National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation, I noticed improved communication to parents and students regarding these programs. He has been instrumental in keeping parents and students informed of the various programs that PHS offers to students and has proven leadership skills. Having Mr. Tran part time at PHS would be detrimental to the parents, students, and faculty alike.
