He should not be suspended for showing a video that the council should have blocked if they knew it was going to be shown.

this is disgusting,if it is a bbc programme then obviously it is safe for school viewing. There is no need for media and certainly not police involvement.

this is madness, the guy is just showing the world for what it is. he does not deserve this. h has broken no law, no code of conducts, nothing. so let him be and get him back behind his desk where he belongs.

This is utter nonsense! I don't see any valid reason why this teacher should be in any way punished for what he did! So what if he showed a 'BBC' video on the decapitation of Iraqi soldiers, at the end of the day, it is reality. You cannot blame a very well educated teacher for showing a group of fourth year pupils what is, in fact, an ongoing crisis! This was meant to be a video to provide information, and nothing more. I think in the society we live in today, we are way too overprotective about how we experience the world, and maybe this is the reason why Mr Mahmood is in so much bother.

In my opinion, I think the press (STV, Paisley Express) should focus on more important matters in Scotland; in the grand sale of things, this issue is tiny!

Ill advised maybe - but worth ruining his career and life over? Surely not. Parent involved should have contacted school not police - who incidentally say there was no wrongdoing! Come on Renfrewshire Council - be sensible about this eh??

I'm one of his pupils and he really isn't a bad teacher! The video shown was made by the BBC so there is a good reason he should not be getting fired! After the Paisley Daily Express printed their story on Saturday everyone in the school has been talking about him like he is a really nice guy. I had him on Monday and he was really nervous to teach the class. I think that he should be allowed to keep his job as he is one of the, if not the best teacher at Gryffe High School!

Sack him now, typical propaganda and the usual spiel of innocence, get rid of him and his poisonous propaganda.
