I taught 5th grade here a few years back. It's a wonderful school with amazing people. We had hoped to send our child there in a few more years. I'm baffled and shocked that a church of this size and resources would abandon a 40 year mission providing quality, Christ centered education for their members and surrounding community. I've worked at much smaller schools with a quarter of the students as MCS and with far fewer resources who survive by being upheld by their founding churches and on faith. Something doesn't add up here with the church's decision. Perhaps they should do away with other church missions and make the school a priority. Out reaches are great, but what about our own community? It looks to me like the church congregation was not even aware of amy problems with the school. Why not turn to them first? I have no doubt they'd rather their offering money go to supporting the school then to some random mission of the moment. I sincerely hope and Pray For a good outcome for all staff and families at MCS.

There has never been a call for an offering to benefit the school in the Christmas or Easter offerring. I am appalled by this. I would rather give to our school than any missionary going to or living n Africa. I would rather give to our school than any start up church anywhere else in the world. I would rather give to our school than any missions trip to any destination. Mountain is big enough for this.! !!!!
