The leadership said that they made every effort to keep the school open however if they haven't contacted the alumni and the parents of the students for suggestion, support etc... certainly not everything was tried. There are a lot of potential donors etc...among all those that love and care about MCS and that was a resourse that should have been tapped into before a final decision was made.

Although I no longer live in The Joppa area I do live in the city and both of my children are products of a catholic education through the Arch Diocese of Baltimore. There came a time a few years back where our doors may have closed due to financial viability but because our church congregation and community have a love for the school and the community they rallied together to support one another and keep the children educated and families together. It sometimes takes a community to build a foundation not just a small body of elders, principals or board of directors. If this school means anything to the church and its community then they can make it happen. Yes there may have to be some drastic spending cuts, layoffs, double duty teaching, lack of field trips, energy saving technics etc. but in a few years time, the school will pick up and thrive once more. If you build it, they will come.

If they can build schools overseas then they can keep the home school open! May just need to get creative.

We have enough problems in our educational system, it is a shame that a school providing a safe and spiritual education to our children is shutting down. Please keep this school open and save our children.

There are so few places to grow a child up in a safe, loving, God influenced environment - please do not take this safe harbor from the children
