Morgan Tigers is the best! Why mush all the schools colors together? Black and Orange stand out and are beautiful together.

Please do not change the name, mascot and colors at Morgan. It's always been Morgan, and there is no good reason not to leave it that way. Changing things just for the sake a change is stupid!

I am third generation alum at M.M.S. I attended as did my sister, aunts, father and grandmother. My mother was employed there for several years in the office. In a town rooted in traditions, how does this improve anything? How will it improve the community? How will it improve the education of the students that attend? Put focus and funding where it matters.

My husband and I both went to Morgan Jr High and graduated from EHS. We are proud of our heritage and wish the name, colors and mascot would stay the same. So many things in life have changed and it is comforting to know some things stay the same.

All my family went to school there. Leave the name alone. Why keep part of the school and then change the name and colors. Very expensive!!!

Paying to make a change that serves no purpose and tens to anger the citizens makes you look like a bunch of idiots. Don't be a bunch of idiots.

I loved being at Morgan. I learned so much from that school. TRS80 computers from Mr. Wahle to playing the clarinet from Ms. Makris. My mom worked there to my daughter also went there. Its part of this community.

I haven't been in ellensburg long, but it is a nice place here. I would want my daughter to go to a school that has a legacy just like I did.

I am so disappointed in our education administrators in Ellensburg. First, they fought saving the historic junior high building for 2-3 years, using scare tactics (earthquakes!) and forcing three votes. Now, having lost the first battle, they are fighting saving Morgan again, but this time squashing the name. I guess it doesn't mean much to name a building after a respected founder like Pop Morgan any more. Folks can come along in 80 years and change it. And, yes, I have heard the news that the theater (which was also an earthquake hazard two years ago but somehow no longer is!) will be named after Pop Morgan. But please note the District has already rolled out the acronym for the Morgan Performing Arts Center and will call it "M-PAC" for short! So they will honor Pop Morgan with an "M"! Ay yi yi!

Why do we have to conform to other schools in the city? It was named Morgan in honor of a teacher and changing that name dishonors him!!!!!
Keep the name its always been.
Why try to fix something that isn't broken.
