Keep minors out of kinky communities and NSFW blogs on Tumblr!

Please keep children safe from their own curiousity until their adulthood. We need to express ourselves and protrct at the same time. It's possible and the right thing to do.

Some age controls would be great, please.

This is an absolute necessity. If you have a website where your users have the ability to create their own blog and choose to post mature/adult content then there should be strong blocking/filtering functions already available from the get go. It is not the fault of a nsfw ddlg blog checking out the users on a popular post by hitting "Notes" then hitting follow on the list of usernames that sound ddlg themed. One shouldn't have to check every single user before a follow. The underaged simply shouldn't occupy that space in the first place. There is no debate for this, Tumblr must fix their filtering and blocking services. Whilst there at it, how about make "blocking" someone, actually block them. Not just from contacting you, but from even appearing, like Facebook or the majority of services that allow users to implement a block. Much appreciated.

This is long overdue! If something doesn't change soon I am going to assume that any site, like yahoo or Tumblr, that doesn't have age verification, is advocating for minors in kink/18+ communities. This is ridiculous!!

It's important to keep our minors and adults safe. Why Tumblr allows NSFW, but doesn't already have a system like this is unknown, but it's important if a site is going to include both adult and minor parties.

I definitely want users under 18 blocked AND my content/personal photos removed from their page! My tumblr is 100% original content and photos BDSM and ABDL related.

This is not only a matter of protecting kids and people who responsible about their kinks, but if this continues being ignored, I imagine it could become a liability for Tumblr/Yahoo if it isn't already.

Although Tumblr does ask for your age when you sign up, they don't seem to do very much with this information. I hope this petition will get them to look at the faults in the current NSFW and adult orientated content system, and keep minors out of kink spaces.

I shouldn't have to be constantly afraid that a minor will follow me or that they'll interact with my blog because of the (il)legality of it.
