As a person who was groomed online due to being able to be on Tumblr /in kink I support this 10000% waiting is worth it and required. I wish somebody had told me the only people interacting with kink before I was 18 were pedophiles. It would have saved me a lot of issues

Minors are misusing Tumblr’s age verification by inputting false information (birth dates) to gain access to Tumblr’s adult-oriented content that is meant for users over 18 years. Yahoo is neglecting their responsibilities and ignoring reports based on these issues. It’s bad enough that Yahoo doesn’t resolve the issue with porn bots because every platform they run, they ignore their online support and minors should be restricted from all obscenity. We need stricter age-check features for users over 18 to verify their age (uploading ID). Otherwise, they are denied access to adult oriented content and have their accounts reverted back in safe mode.

Its way too easy for kids to partake in these spaces. We need stronger rules in order to get kids to understand that it isn't safe, and for abusers to understand that there isn't a 'grey area' in which they can do whatever they like. We already do everything we can to try keep kink safe, tumblr needs to put in some work too!

I do believe this is an issue that needs to be handled. Children are easily exposed to this content and it not only harms the creator but the future of this type of content
