Democratic societies and organisations allow a plurality of views and beliefs; therefore, I support Ms Hill in her fight against these attempts to silence and de-platform her.

Those who bully and cancel must not win. Using professional skills to meet women's needs in an occupation focussed on them should be lauded not hated.

Having had a miscarriage and then two c-section births, I believe you must be utterly clear when discussing women’s reproductive health. The erasure of the word ‘women’ is not acceptable in important healthcare. Milli has shown bravery and professionalism in stating this clearly when it would be so easy to capitulate to bullies.

A service for women needs those who speak up for women

Obscuring the language by making it needlessly obtuse discriminates against non-native speakers. It makes it difficult for these women to access services. Gestation, birth and nursing are the defining biological processes of the female body. Please stand for biology.

Please put women back at the centre of midwifery instead of pretending there is some weird third sex. Depressing times.

Milli is an important voice that needs to be heard. She is reason in a storm of dangerous nonsense.

Please don't contribute to the erasure of women! I suggest you take a survey of your members to gauge whether the view expressed by the Rainbow Coalition is widely shared or only coming from a small radical minority. My guess is that most midwives do acknowledge biological reality, as it is central to their profession.

If a midwife cannot acknowledge that it takes a female and male to produce a baby they have no business near female healthcare or maternity care because they are patently stupid. It is utterly ludicrous to suggest that stating sex is real is hateful. Cop on to yourselves.

Milli Hill needs to be heard. Birth is a women’s issue without a doubt. Language matters!

Women should not be silenced for standing up for women's sex-based rights. Every human since the dawn of time has been born of a woman.
