She is one of the best in her field trying to protect all birthers and give empowerment to have a say in labour and birth which is becoming increasing controlling and patriarchal. We might as well be back in the early 1900s with men banned from the room and you do as you are told.

She is sensible and brave. My hero.

Please don't give in to those who want to end freedom of speech. Keep Ms Hill as a speaker at the Conference.

Enough of this cancel culture, we need to uphold free speech, civil discourse and tolerance. Let us have the humility to say we don’t have all the answers and welcome a rich diversity of discussion. And Milli is not transphobic, she is a feminist who welcomes discussion from trans people.

Deplatforming is anti-democratic and is damaging to all, most of all to the women and trans and non binary people who need the expertise at conference disseminated to practice. The erasure of language is unnecessary and wrong. Supporting trans and binary people does not require the erasure of female specific language.

Debate is important

As a writer, Milli Hill has made it her life's work to raise awareness of those elements of our society that violate and remove options for women. Particularly in relation to giving birth. These issues must come to the fore, for the sake of all humanity. Her work has been invaluable and should not be swept under the carpet or silenced.

Stop this totalitarian madness. Only females give birth.

In the UK, both the ARM and The Practising Midwife journals have made unpopular moves to erase women as a sex class and to bring in unscientific terminology that the vast majority of women, men, and many LGBTQIA+ people do not want. This has lost them support, subscribers and respect. Birthrights is also now a dirty word in some quarters and laughing stock in others as a result of their nastiness towards Milli Hill and their total lack of understanding that they are taking part in a witch hunt. As a result, we now have no respected midwifery journal in the UK where we can safely talk about our views. We also have no organisation that is talking about women's rights that we feel is safe for women. A group of midwives and others wrote a reasoned, polite letter to ARM asking that they include other perspectives in their journal and the new editor refused to print it. Please don't go the same route and start silencing women who simply want to debate the issues and who are standing up for other women. That is surely the very definition of midwifery.

What is happening? Why are women being ‘banned’ from talking about being women? Why are we being told what we must and must not say about our own bodies and sex?
