Keep Milli Hill as Keynote Speaker at Midwifery Conference

Robust democracies need to hear from people whose views they may disagree with. In transgender discourse I hear so much hyberbole. It shameful that organizers kow-tow to these faceless on line trolls

I was born and raised in New Zealand and am horrified to see this hysterical move to silence Milli Hill, an expert in her field, in the country of my birth. Her voice badly needs to be heard right now.

Censoring a midwife who centres the female body in discussions about pregnancy & childbirth is dangerous, bad practice & misogynist

Only women give birth - so not "people" then

I’m so tired of women being punished for standing up and defending our right to use the words that we have always used. We are women, we breastfeed our babies and everyone on earth is here because of us.

Mysogyny has no place in Midwifery. Free speech is the cornerstone of democracy. If we lose freedom of speech, we lose everything.

Absolutely agree that there is nothing kind about de-platforming a woman for centring women in what is fundamentally women’s business: the business of birthing.

I can't believe that this is happening. Stop redefining the word woman. The consequences are dire.

There is nothing hateful in stating that women suffer from violence directly resulting from efforts to control our reproduction. By erasing language, we we erase the ability to identify and challenge that sex-based violence. To deem that language hatred is therefore misogynistic and regressive. It is not hateful in any way - unless you also believe that it is hateful to show respect towards women when discussing women's biological reality.

Only women are women.

Only women give birth, and once they have they are mothers. If you want to live like a man, don't get pregnant.

Stop the political silencing of women. To proceed otherwise is to be a Taliban, can you not see that?

Free speech

Females given birth and breastfeed. I do not support dehumanising 51% of the population to meet the totalitarian demands of a small minority. Show some respect for the majority and stop being so selfish, Rainbow Alliance. Deplatform is a classic tactic of the trans movement and shows their narcissism and disrespect for the values of a civilised society.

Milli is the person who deserves this position. Biology is needed for trans to be trans, without biology no humans and no need to transition.
