The people saying that the truth will come to light.. it already has! How can you argue the fact that he sent a player to the hospital and has been mentally and physically abusive dozens of times in the past towards his players. That is the full story… so don’t say we don’t know what really happened. There is a reason he was forced to step down!

How can people be claiming they know the full story and still support the guy. Like come on if you’re not the kid he did this stuff too you can’t claim you know the full story. Crazy world we live in where people defend the adult who hospitalized a kid

No player was ever singled out, nobody ever turned against each other, our team is a family. If somebody failed at a conditioning workout other players would lift him up, run with him, never tear him down. We do everything together, and we love each other.

Wasn’t abusive? but would single kids out for not making 8 and 30s making them turn against each other……. Right.

Coach Halac was not mentally or physically abusive in any way, he hasn't ever been this way to anyone in the last 3 years i've known him. Please don't make false claims..those who know the truth will do what is right.

People who don't know the full story will say that they want on this matter, but just know a tremendous amount of people who do know the full story are going to be attending this meeting in support for Mr Coach Halac! Trolls will be trolls...The truth will always come to light!

Deleted 1x This coach was mentally and physically abusive consistently on multiple accounts. Pushing players to the point of hospitalization is not something to look up to. Degrading players based off things they can’t control is not normal. So glad to see that he has “stepped down” and that karma has been finally served. Those who are blinded by his facade cannot share what goes on behind closed doors and in practices. The manipulation of his players is on another level and the ones that see through it, leave. This has not been a new thing and has been going on for multiple years. I foresee these incidents getting swept under the rug just like every other scandal at cpu…

You should be embarrassed to sign this petition. By signing this you’re basically saying the young man’s life he almost ended is worth less than his coaching career. It’s honestly sad seeing a bunch of people run to defend his actions which jeopardized a life.

Already got deleted I don’t know how anyone signing this can think it is okay for a coach to keep his job after putting a player in the hospital for days. But doesn’t really matter, because if we are being honest, this petition is not going to do anything. Ya’ll just some D1 dickriders for this guy.

Deleted 6 times. Truth needs to be heard. Be informed before you sign a petition. Taken from a parents FB post. These are all facts….be sure to read. Please ask questions before signing the petition. You’re signing to keep a head coach that due to his workouts put one of our CPU athletes in the hospital at the university of Iowa for 5 days this past November. Rhabdomyolysis is real and seeing the videos of our CPU athlete not being able to move his arms even 2 inches was heartbreaking. This student had CK Levels over 75,000 when normal is 300-500. Over 3000-5000 can be fatal. That could’ve been my son, or yours. You are signing to keep a head coach that designed workouts that appalled a certified college strength and conditioning coach who said he wouldn’t give them to his college athletes because of how inappropriate they are. Doctors wrote to the district that these workouts were the cause and yet nothing was done. You are signing to keep a head coach who “cares” but didn’t notify any of the other athletes or parents about the Rhabdomyolysis so we as parents could keep an eye on our athletes. You are signing to keep a head coach that when your son runs off to get his inhaler to breath, will come over and instead of asking if they are ok, makes them finish the running workout in their street clothes after everyone else is gone. You are signing to keep a head coach that does not care about your individual athlete, only about the success of the program. If you need more proof start asking questions. Start asking why no one knew about the athlete in the hospital and why he was there. Ask why participation levels have dropped significantly over the years. Before you sign, look up Rhabdomyolysis and think what you would’ve done if it was your kid.

There’s not a coach who does more for his players. Coached with Mike for 3 years and I’ve been under 6 other coaches. Mike is the best.

Mike is so much more than a coach. His commitment to the kids and our district is unmatched. We can’t afford to lose dedicated people like Mike.
