Although this year at Drummond has been full of uncertainty and struggles, our children have once again had an amazing school year full of the rich curriculum and activities we have come to expect. That we have been able to accomplish so much without a principal at the helm, speaks volumes about our teachers and staff, parents, community, and unique environment that is the everyday norm at Drummond Montessori. How fortunate we are to be at such a unique school within CPS.

One of the people who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes is our assistant principal, Michelle Masny. Working with two different building administrators, Ms. Masny kept our school viable this year. She worked many hours outside of the regular school day to ensure our children's education remained intact, when it seemed that our community might not. Her experience, ideas, creativity, and passion are invaluable to our success.

Unfortunately, Ms. Masny DOES NOT have a position for next year because incoming principals choose their own assistant principals. Educators of Ms. Masny's caliber are few and far between. We need her at Drummond!

Please sign this petition, to let the incoming principal and CPS know that we want Michelle Masny at Drummond Montessori next year, and for many years to come.
