I'm on the boy's team, and our school has FOUR courts. Our team is small enough and trying to cram two teams onto our tiny courts would be terrible for both teams, needing more cuts and discouraging more people from playing the sport

I 100% agree with this petition. Moving girls tennis to the spring is a horrible idea and the people who made the decision clearly haven't thought out the consequences.

My sister won't be able to do both tennis and lacrosse which she is both very passionate about.

It is not fair to the students, If a school with 2400 students only has V tennis team and can only take 8 players. Please keep the tennis in Fall so more girls' passion to tennis can be kept alive.

As a 42 year resident of Montgomery County, former boys high school tennis player, and current parent of a girls High school player I am totally appalled by the counties decision to combine the boys and girls teams and thus limit the opportunity for so many kids to participate in a varsity sport. Everyone of the adults making this decision should be ashamed of themselves. You all had the opportunity to play as teenagers, know give these kids the same opportunity that you had. Surely one of the richest counties in America can afford two teams!

Totally against moving girls tennis to Spring. Would be very dissapointing for more than half of current players to be benched or not make team if moved to Spring.

My daughter attends a high school with only four tennis courts. This change would severely limit access and ability to play this high school sport.

Most girls play tennis all year round. Having tennis in the spring to prepare them for the tournament is not necessary since they are already playing tennis in the spring.

The minute coaches have to make cuts students are losing the chance to learn tennis the most effective and affordable way, beside self learning of course so let's help the coaches not have to go through the burden of having to tell a student that they aren't allowed to join the team only because they aren't good enough and keep them separate, so we can build up the next generation of tennis players and potential stars.
