Keep McIver's Ladies Baths Women & Children Only

As a former resident of Bondi Jct, NSW (& visitor to the pool), I fully support the reinstatement of the exemption to keep the pool a female space (& boys up to 13yo) for all the reasons stated above. There are other pools & beaches nearby and honestly in light of the discourse I have seen on the subject, some people are intent on causing fear, mischief & criminal behaviour (not simply to access the pool) to terrorise females at the pool. Threatening violence and intimidating females should not be applauded by capitulating to the vocal demands of radical ideological activists. This pool has operated trouble free for many years.

Females in female only spaces. Males can go elsewhere. Do not force women out of the public eye by allowing mentally ill males into our space. There is no point in sex segregation if you allow non transitioned people in.

Keep it biological women’s only.

Respect those women of indigenous culture who gave held sacred identity to this location and allow women to have a safe bathing space. Thank you

Women are entitled to sex specific spaces under the law. Women with small children, cancer survivors, trauma victims, elder women, or those simply seeking a space to swim for exercise and leisure free from the male gaze have done so for nearly 100 years without issue. The McIver baths are also regarded as Women’s sacred space by Indigenous people - for birthing and healing. Why is this space being suddenly sacrificed because males with a trans identity demand access? Opening it up to any male who identifies as a woman on the basis of sex self-id destroys this sacred women’s space.

After seeing lots of tweets like « off to piss on some TERFS at Cogee swimming pool » and knowing that men will take full advantage of these new rules, I am signing this for the protections of women and girls. I have benefitted from years of being in women only pools, not only as a gender non conforming lesbian, as as someone with a disability, who has a genetic fat storing disorder. Being very self conscious, I hate getting any kind of attention, let alone from males. I dont even like getting changed in front of women. However these spaces have been invaluable. I have stopped swimming now due to the anxiety amd low self esteem associated with having this ugly, incurable disease. I do not wish that to happen to other women. There has to be another way, to meet the needs of all.

Women need female only spaces. Gender according to the world health as others org is socially constructed, biology is immutable and inescapable. Sex and gender are not the same. A male feeling feminine is not the same as being female. Female need female only spaces and are protected. Instead of asking what is a woman ?time to ask, WHAT IS A TRANSWOMAN?” And justify why women’s rights are being trampled to accommodate a few AGP men. This is nothing less than an attack on women’s rights by MRA. There are other places for them to go.

This pool is for Women only and Nobody can change sex that is a truth

It is the only pool in the city I can go to when I visit my Muslim friends in the city.

No men in women’s spaces!

Women need their own safe spaces that do not include men.

The preservation of women's autonomy demands that we have spaces where we can gather free of the oversight of men, and safe from their attempts at dominance.

Please keep this space women only. Anyone with a penis that is allowed to enter makes this space a no go zone for many women and thus limits their ability to enjoy a pool.

Female only space is a rare thing, a treasure not to be given away.

Women and girls need safe spaces away from male bodied people.

Keep it as biological female only. Are you trying to destroy women?
