As a woman who has been sexually assaulted in the past it saddens me to know the changes taking place at this pool. I’m LGBT friendly however I disagree with this haven no longer being a safe space for women of various religious orders and young teenage girls.

Please preserve this sacred space for women and girls.
Of course people who were formerly men, but who now, after transition are, under NSW law, women, should be permitted access (as, indeed they were under the Pool Committee’s previous policy).
But please leave it to our elected leaders to determine who are men and women.
And please keep the sacred space for men and girls.

Should be left as an all women's pool. We need our space and privacy away from men. The men can go anywhere else to swim they don't haft to go there.

Women need spaces where they can feel comfortable. They needs spaces where they can bond & form connections with other women without feeling judged, demeaned or intimidated. These moments are few & far between especially for women raising young children, compared to their male counterparts. The advent of Self-ID has led to the possibility of anyone identifying as a particular gender & of course identifying as a woman is not dependent on hormones or gender affirmation surgery. So, these trans women are fully intact & some even hormone free.

Please keep female-only spaces, they are the only places we are almost certainly free of sexual harassment. Why are you even considering ignoring the Aboriginal women's usage of the space before colonization?
