Any men can now identify as a woman if he says so. Any men can dress up as a woman and turn up and demand access. It is because of this that McIver's Ladies Baths has become even more needed as a safe place for women and children! Allowing penis owners in swimsuits (!) will exclude women from particular faith groups, and will deter certain lesbians too. Give them a break! Coogee Pool has been a Goddess sent for 100 years!

The reality of male harassment and objectification and how it has impacted on women’s lives needs recognition and redress. Transgender people need to respect this reality and allow CIS women their tiny spaces to feel safe.

Women’s only should remain women’s only. We have hardly any places left that have respect to this. Please do not cave to the latest trend and the trans addenda shaming, it’s not in the interest of the historical beauty of this pool, the indigenous heritage and the respect for women and children everywhere.
