Single-sex spaces are not single-‘gender’ spaces. This change needs to be reconsidered.

I find it incredible that this facility cannot allow females the privacy they deserve.

This is the ONLY single sex female pool. It will become a mixed pool and this discriminates against women of particular observant faiths, and most other women whose safety and feelings of wellbeing will be under threat.

Women need female-only spaces where they are free from the male gaze. If the baths are opened to transgender people who identify as women then many natal females will be excluded due to religion, disability, age and trauma. Women who have been victims of violence by males deserve a space free of biologically male bodies as do teenage girls who can often feel self-conscious even in the company of other females. This is a disheartening backwards step removing the rights of women in favour of men once again. What will prevent any male from abusing this by pretending to be a transwoman as gatekeeping will be impossible.

This is a hideous affront to women and anyone who respects First Nations People must condemn males forcing their way onto sacred women’s land.

We need space away from males for our mental health. No man has ever changed sex ever.

I have used this pool, with my daughter it seems that women’s rights in this instance isn’t considering the women’s rights for ordinary women !

By including men you are excluding teenage girls, Muslim women, Jewish women, women who have been abuses by men ans suffer mental health problems, women with young children. This is not right.

Adult human females need their own spaces away from men, this is common sense and common decency.

Men should not be allowed into single sex spaces. These are the problems we are facing due to sex being replaced with gender identity.

Women must be allowed to have boundaries. Stop forcing our concent; we want female only private spaces, especially ones that our ancestors fought and won.

Stand up to Gender Ideology and protect women and children. Sex is a reality and a gender identity is meaningless. Facts not feelings.

Please don’t allow the only women-only pool to be lost. Some women cannot share a pool with men (no matter how they identify): a trans inclusive policy will exclude them, and they have nowhere else to go.
