Marlboro Elementary is a part of many of our lives growing up in our community. I went to school there ( MHS alumni 1973) My 3 children went to grade school there. It is a part of who we are. Marlboro as a community would never be the same if there was no Marlboro Elementary .
Keep our history and our roots, so we can continue to pass these along to future generations.

I think Marlboro Elementary should stay open because all the kids be in a bigger school and they one get one on one with the teacher. They just need to at least all the school to be fix up or build new school building

If we took all the money that was poured into football, we could fix a lot of the problems in the a schools.

Marlboro elementary must stay open to preserve the community. According to board member Tom Hippley, Marlington is going to have a “baby boom”. That would mean that having two elementary schools would, in fact, not be adequate. Additionally, only 3 years ago, it was stated that the present buildings were not large enough and would require larger, more adequate buildings. If that was the truth, and in fact, the board and superintendent knoll were not lying, then Marlboro elementary should stay open. If the board and administration was lying, it was bold face and absolutely unacceptable. Several board members, administrators, supporters, as well as the leader of the “For Marlington” campaign have endorsed, perpetuated, and made statements of their own with regards made by board members and administrators. Some have even gone as far as to use quotes from the Bible as well as saints to perpetuate and formulate false statements of their own which defame the reputations of honest, good, and hard working individuals in the community. There have been deliberate attacks on the farming community, the taxpayers who do not have adequate funds to contribute to this movement, and other reputable names in the community. The Marlington School board (as recognized by Mr. Joe Knoll and Ms. Carole Sutton, not to include Mrs. Carolyn Gabric) has disgraced the community, my alma mater, and the face of public schools in the Marlington Local School District.
