I am sure this has only come about because of the great work he’s done within Weldon and the goal is to bring that to other areas. But, having something so good and taking it away is unfair and that can’t be forgotten as well. Mr. Cossarin was someone I talked to almost every day in my graduating year, and when he was injured and we lost him as a principal for my final months in highschool it was tough, I can’t imagine all these students having to abandon the relationship they’ve made with an amazing principal and role model.

He’s the best principal. Wish he would stay at Weldon but if he goes elsewhere, I wish him best of luck!

Mr. Cossarin was not only a great leader, but also proved to be an ally and friend to many students. Weldon has only benefited from his dedication.

I graduated 3 years ago and that was the first day I could give this man a hug.
He was the BEST principle - He was as fair as his job allowed, and knew most students by name.
Replacing him now would kill the atmosphere of the school and surrounding area. Nobody could replace the aura of safety and security he gives off.
Even returning graduates still view him with respect because he doesn't demand it - He earns it. Every day.

Mark Cossarin has transformed I.E Weldon into the “flagship” school within the Kawartha/Halliburton board, moving him would be a mistake, you cannot replace his passion and positive energy. How does a director with no day to day interaction with administration make these decisions? Please rethink this potential change!

A school is not a building, it’s the people like Mark Cossarin who are necessary to that place. Please do not transfer Mark from Weldon.
