please keep the murals. they're beautiful and add such character to the city. i appreciate the history of marietta immensely, but cities need to create new history, too. murals are a great way to do so

Aesthetics aside, having murals like these is a no-brainer marketing tactic for cities like Marietta. Public art helps create a memorable 'brand' and gives artists an outlet + sense of place. Murals in general attract social media users (read: everybody) and hopefully influencers to your local businesses; thus extending your presence outside of the store walls and city limits. Keep public art alive.
