This masterpiece belongs to all Canadians and it would be shameful to sell it.

We do not want Chagall's Eiffel Tower to be removed from the National Gallery EVER

While there may be compelling reasons for an art historian to want the David painting, a greater number of visitors to the Gallery would recognize and appreciate seeing the Chagall with whom they are familiar and whose iconic style they would recognize.
