It'll only get worse, the virus spreads faster than we can keep up with. Having the schools open up is just letting it get worse. You should have the best for your students, and this could easily harm many students

I don’t feel opening the schools is a wise decision as many parents, teachers and children will raise the risk of contracting covid-19 despite the sanitary precautions. As a LISD student I would rather learn online than put my family at risk during this difficult time

I am a high risk individual because of having Type 1 diabetes. I have been a teacher for 31 years and am very scared to start school during a global pandemic. I have several medical professionals in my family as well as my own personal physician who have advised that it is not safe to start school with the current number and trend of COVID cases here in Lubbock. I am concerned for the safety of myself, my students and their families and my colleagues.

As a nurse & mother, I feel it is my duty to sign this for my children, as well as other children who may be susceptible or at-risk of Covid-19 exposure. Why can't we just continue with online instruction?
