This consideration by "the city" to impose a "noise" ordinance is restricting commerce at a base level to the detriment of the citizens of San Antonio and surrounding areas.It would seem the restrictions proposed by the target of such ordinance is more than a fair compromise to the wishes of the the City.

Those that enjoy the music should be allowed that pleasure. Curtis should be allowed to present this music to enhance his business. This can be done while maintaining the tranquility of San Antonio.

I was really looking forward to spending evenings listening to music once I get moved back. It will be a shame if this is done. So sorry to see this dysfunction in one of my favorite towns. Spent many years enjoying music all around San Ann and was happy to see it return. A few spoil it for the many...

Most of us (unless we were born here) came to San Ann because it was a place where neighbors helped neighbors and everyone got along. Let's try and do that again! Name-calling should have been left behind in second grade.

This is the same town that fought cable TV and a traffic light at the intersection of Curley and SR 52. It's OK to have houses with scaffolding up in the front yard for years though.

Just look at Safety Harbor - a hip music scene has built that community into a very desirable place to live and do business. San Antonio needs to realize that growth is coming and if they don't control and embrace it, they'll get the wrong kind of growth (more Dollar stores perhaps)? The short-sighted, anti-business stance of the City Commission is not only disheartening--it's almost criminal. Why would they single out their City's largest private employer and largest utility customer as a threat to the community's Quality of Life? Because of one very well-known a-hole. That's criminal in my view.

Grow up San Ann! Like it or not, change is HERE! You can't stop it so do the right thing and stop listening to the whiny haters who are small in number and apparently small in mind. They should move to Sun City Center or better yet, The Villages, where everything is contrived and cookie cutter. I'm sure they will find plenty of like-minded people there. We are not talking about live music bringing riff raff into town. Nothing has been negative AT ALL about what Curtis has turned "John & Marys" into-it is awesome and I have been proud to be a part of bringing positive business there. Live music has ALWAYS been a part of San Ann since I can remember. This proposed ordinance is a joke that will put San Ann on the map for stupidity and ignorance-all because of a few negative people. Do you not see you are scaring GOOD business away?? You should be EMBARRASSED for the way this is going down....the media will eat you up if you pass your "sound ordinance." Live music from 6-9 pm is beyond reasonable. Oh well, you still have two Dollar stores and Ralph's - maybe that will bring you what you want for San Ann. By the way, the same people who come to hear live music are the ones who will visit the shops at SOSA and other local businesses and SPEND $$. If you kill the music, you will kill the cool thing we have in San Ann and it will become like every other place where urban sprawl takes over... change is HERE please don't let the music die.
