We, Albany’s 10th ward voters and other supporters of Leah S. Golby, are saddened and surprised that her name will not be on the November 7, 2017 General Election ballot.
Council Member Golby is a forward-thinking, working families Democrat who is a local leader on sustainability issues and who always works to find solutions to problems.
We ask the following:
- 10th ward voters remember that they have the option to write in "Leah S. Golby" for Council Member on November 7, 2017.
- 10th ward voters be informed about their incumbent Council Member’s record of accomplishments for the neighborhood and her highly effective approach to representing all of her constituents. Learn more on her Council Member Leah S. Golby's Facebook page
- Council Member Leah S. Golby launch a write-in campaign immediately.

I really thought this might just be a small thing but look at how many people actually care about having a real choice in the tenth ward. It is honestly overwhelming to see this kind of energy building up so fast because I just started this out of frustration over the ballot situation and now it feels like something is actually happening here.

I lived in the 10th ward a few years ago and Leah was always accessible, accountable and willing to listen. Leah is a dedicated public servant.
Leah has been a strong advocate for change in our neighborhood and has been a dedicated Council Member.Leah supports businesses in the Pine Hills and is an asset to the neighborhood. Having owned the Towne Cleaners for many years, when an issue arises Leah is always there to take care of it.
Leah is responsive to resident ideas and concerns and advocates for the well-being of the whole city as a dedicated and informed Council Member. We need her seasoned voice of experience and integrity at work for the benefit of all people in Albany!
It is indeed sad that Leah S. Golby's name will be left off the ballot. We as members of this Ward, need to do what we can to rectify any aggregious political missteps that conspired to make the political adjustment which caused her name to be out of consideration for reelection.
No contest!!!! Leah not only "talks the talk", she "walks the walk". She has been a great advocate for our neighborhood. I will be proud to write in in her name at the voting booth!!!!

Leah has always had the best interests on the 10th ward as her primary focus. She is the best council member we have had in the 35 years we have lived here.
