Kroger finally backed down and abandoned their plan to abandon our community. This win proves that corporate suits cannot just walk over our town whenever they feel like it.

UPDATE: sending this to Kroger corporate today!

----------------------------

Kroger announced on June 13, 2018 that they are closing all of their stores in the Raleigh / Durham area, including the one in Fuquay Varina.

https://www.wral.com/1-500-expected-to-lose-jobs-a...

The Kroger supermarket is one of the busiest grocery stores in Fuquay, and also offers a large selection of organic food. Our family has been shopping there for years and would love to see this store remain open!

The article above has been updated to show that Harris Teeter (which Kroger owns) will be moving into the Broad St location - but Harris Teeter does not have Kroger prices. 1500 people will also lose their job in the area as a result of these stores closing.

We will be sending this to Kroger corporate to encourage them to keep this Fuquay location open as a Kroger!

Kroger corporate is ignoring us but they cannot ignore 500 names on this petition. Push this link out right now because we need to hit that milestone before they finalize these closures.

We hit 100 signatures today but Kroger executives are still pretending this community does not exist. They are stripping us of affordable food and firing hundreds of workers while they shuffle their corporate assets around. We are keeping the heat on until they explain why they are abandoning Fuquay Varina.

Why is Kroger closing in Fuquay! The prices in Harris Teeter can not compare to Krogers prices, plus i buy a lot of gluten free foods at Kroger which cost 2.00 more per item at Harris Teeter. Families can not afford to shop at Harris Teeter. Please consider of keeping Kroger open in Fuquay Varina.

We became Kroger lovers when stationed in Burlington Kentucky with the Marine corp. When my husband retired and we moved to Fuquay Varina North Carilina we were so excited to see the store and brands we had come to love. We are so dissapointed to see Kroger leaving this area.

My son currently works there and my daughter was just hired. The only thing I like about teeter is the double coupons and the deli. The produce is always below par and Teeter runs more expensive. I like the option to shop both.

The Fuquay Kroger is my go-to grocery store. The produce selection is second to none and Fuquay is becoming the town of duplicate businesses-3 mattress stores, 3 Food Lions, 2 Walgreens (the result of another buyout)-I really don’t think it’s necessary for there to be 2 Harris Teeters, too.

I've only been in FV 1.5 yrs - Krogers is, by far, has the largest selection of organic produce and a large natural/organic section as well. I don't want to have to drive way up to Cary to get my produce!! HT's prices are MUCH higher and their produce isn't near the quality as the FV Kroger!

Kroger is the best place for me to shop for my family and the pharmacy is the best one around, especially with an epileptic child. They know him and his meds well and always have his meds in stock. ALWAYS
