Ken Register’s heinous act of violence was more than rape and murder, he mutilated Crystal Todd and violated her corpse. He didn’t just kill her, he mutilated her body before and after death, an unfathomable act against humanity. And now he has a chance to be released back to the community? Ken Register destroyed two lives that night, Crystal and her mother. Bonnie Faye Todd desperately grieved for her daughter until the day she died. Bonnie Faye is finally at peace and no longer is haunted by the brutality her daughter’s murder. Ken Register had a third victim that night, the community of Conway, SC. Crystal was well known and liked by the community. Her brutal death shocked this rural town and shook it to its core. For months, fear gripped parents and their daughters until Crystal’s murderer was identified and arrested. It is inconceivable that Ken Register is eligible for parole and will be allowed to return to the same community that he terrorized and to live amongst the people who loved Crystal. It would be a miscarriage of justice to release this psychopath back to society. He continues to be a threat and there is no doubt in my mind that Ken Register will repeat this atrocity if given the opportunity. Please keep in mind how Ken Register behaved in the weeks following Crystal’s death. He visited her mother and comforted. He was a pallbearer at Crystal’s funeral! He carried the very body that he mutilated to her grave. That is morbid. Ken Register lived in the community for weeks and “grieved” for Crystal with her friends and family. Please don’t let this monster out.

Ken Register should never be allowed to go free, I remember this case and everything about it. I’m a long time Native of Horry County and what he did was horrific.

Ken Register can never give back what he took from killing Crystal. Not only his horrendous overkill in the attack and murder on Crystal, but his other prederous acts with Youngs girls/ women goes to prove this man has no regret for anything he has done. He took something that he could not give back and doesn't deserve to ever see the light of day ever again!
