I have 2 boys in this school and my wife attended from the day it first opened. It is about time the school board stopped thinking about money and start thinking about the children and their well being.

The community needs this school. Busing kids to save costs is not always an option

This school should not be closed EVER! It's been apart of the community for years and JBC has so many kids that love it there. I went there 3 years ago and honestly everyone in that building I know would do anything for those kids that go there.

small schools as assets not liabilities. They offer a family-friendly, community-based model for education which is too precious to lose.

My sisters and I went to JBC when it was P-9 and both my boys are attending now. They are both very upset with the thought of leaving JBC. Many family's rely on after school daycare across the road and there is a Town House kindergarten class operating from the building. Our community needs to demand that our school stay open! Yes, kids can be academically educated at any school but at elementary level, social education is just as important. I do not think that taking children from a school with less than 200 and putting them into an environment of more than 500 kids is in the best interest of these students. And isn't their well being more important than any financial saving??? We must rally round and send a clear message to the school board that they are elected by the people and they work for us. We need everyone to start signing this petition--past, present and future family's and we need everyone to attend the meeting and show the board that we will not just lay down and allow them to close the doors!!!

My Children went to this school, from 1978 to 1989, They all loved this School . They have the Best Principal, and Best Teachers who go above and beyond for their Students !!. It is very Community Oriented , and mostly all the Children who went there, formed long lasting Friendships , that will last for Life. Closing this school will be very Detrimental to the Children and Families Well Being, Mentally and Emotionally !!..We have a Great Sense of pride in Our John Bernard Croak V.C. Memorial School and Community!!

Our school board reps should be called and to find out how and where they stand and to encourage them to keep the general public informed on these events and help us in the fight.Darryl Flynn is the rep in our area.
