Keep IT in-house, say "no" to outsourcing!
Updates

The feedback regarding the risks of outsourcing continues to prove that keeping our technical operations internal remains the most reliable strategy. I am currently compiling the experiences shared by staff to present a comprehensive report to the administration.

The momentum behind this call to retain our technical department remains steady and significant. This collective commitment confirms that the professional integrity of our internal team is a priority for many.

Following a failed attempt at transforming the organisation's business processes yet another ill conceived and poorly executed initiative will undoubtedly erode services further.
Moving services outside the council when we are trying to save money is wrong. We will be paying for profits for the company that runs it. Let’s keep it and run all the other services in Somerset.
We need to keep our case officers in house to keep the brilliant service that we all receive.
Keep It in house, who else could have done what our staff have done recently?
privatisation never works out any cheaper. critical service fundamental to Council's objectives have to be maintained in house.
We need keep such an important team in-house.
Keep our case officers in house please.

Quality and speed of service always drops when outsourcing occurs. SSDC will be held over a barrel by an external company, when IT is the most important it has ever been for the council. We have an amazing team of people, lets keep them doing their jobs in house rather than faceless voices on the end of a phone - if you can get through.
