We the undersigned call on the Town Council of Islip to continue and expand the use of the Town Pistol and Rifle Range. The range provides a vital service allowing law enforcement and citizens to practice their firearm skills in a safe controlled environment. We request that the Town Council approve the contracts with law enforcement agencies as well as expand the public hours to include every Saturday and Sunday.

EXPAND THE HOURS. Weekends are the only time most of us can actually get out there.

Ridiculous to shut this place down. Where are people supposed to go practice safely? Keep it open.

My husband uses the range all the time. It is a controlled environment and keeps people off random land. Leave it be.

Law enforcement needs this space to stay sharp. Closing it makes no sense for the community.
