On Thursday, March 20th, parents of children at Imagine Foundations at Leeland learned that the school would be relocating to another location. Administrators of Imagine Foundations unveiled its proposal to move to the Berkshire Building (formerly Berkshire Elementary), located in Forestville, MD.

A large group of parents attended the meeting, and STRONGLY OPPOSE moving to the new facility, citing concerns about an increase in the number of classes/children, transportation issues, not being informed in sufficient time to apply to other Public Charter Schools in Prince George’s County (the lottery closed on March 12th), a multifunction room that serves as a cafeteria AND a gym, and most importantly crime in the proposed area and our CHILDREN’S SAFETY.

We want our children in a STABLE, safe environment where they can learn and not be distracted by what happens outside of the school doors!!
