Hello Parents,
Please sign the petition below by Wednesday, March 26, 2014 before 12 noon. The options are all in chronological order and by PRIORITY according to what the parent’s wishes are.
Option 1 (LOCATION)– The parents want a building in the Largo, Upper Marlboro or Bowie area. If finances are an issue parents are willing to help fundraise to subsidize for another rental place, for one more school year so that the parents don’t feel like they are forced to move to Berkshire.
Option 2 (SUPPLEMENTAL LOTTERY)– If option one is not available could PGCPS open up the lottery so that parents can go to specialty schools. If they can’t open up the lottery for charter schools, at least open up the lottery for specialty schools since those students have not been notified yet.
Option 3 (MAKE SPACE AVAILABLE AT OTHER IMAGINE CAMPUSES)– If option two is not available could PGCPS make spaces available at the other Imagine campuses for current Leeland students to attend?
Option 4 (SECURITY, TRANSPORTATION)- If parents have to move to Berkshire can PGCPS or the Imagine Board guarantee actual security guards inside the building and police officer car on the grounds along with other security measures like cameras and key fobs. Can Imagine or PGCPS also supply transportation?

just open the lottery back up. let us go to specialty schools if you cant keep the campus open. so unfair to the students.
Option 1 is the only one that makes any sense. Fix this now.
If we HAVE to go to berkshire there better be real security. I dont feel safe sending my daughter there otherwise. This is a mess.
moving to berkshire is absolutely not an option for our family. we need to stay at a location that is accessible and safe for the kids.
Ridiculous that they are putting us in this position. We just want a consistent school for our kids. KEEP IT AT LEELAND.

My son loves his teachers and his friends. Please dont force us out to berkshire under these conditions. its not right.
