Oppose Hickory Grove and Keep Hanover Rural: Protect Scenic Rte. 54!

Please don't turn Hanover into the next "Chesterfield" County. We need to keep it rural, no more "Suburbia". Rutland and Atlee are prime examples of what can happen, let's keep the rest of Hanover Rural!

Our Rte 54 cannot manage the added traffic that this would bring.

This is unnecessary as there are plenty of existing locations closer to town, not to mention all of this would be entirely too close to lovely, family friendly neighborhoods. I say no.

Stop the rezoning in this area

Proposed commercial part of development is too intensive next to a residential subdivision.

Hanover County Supervisors seem intent on developing every inch of this county. Money over quality of life.

Keep our area rural.

I oppose this kind of development for the Hickory Grove area. We already have a glut of strip shopping stores and condominiums. Whatever goes there should be low density, protective of the rural vista, and something that will not result in increased real estate taxes for the rest of us. The developer should seek this kind of development in Stafford or Chesterfield but not in Hanover or Ashland.

Keep open land for the future generations!

This proposed development is unnecessary and will be a blight on the area. It needs to be stopped.

Apparently the plan is to increase congestion and density, two things good planning practices would prevent in a county that prides itself on its rural character.

I am opposed to this unnecessary development.

Protect Green Virginia!

Please think about the lack of preserved land in Hanover county. Land that is for the wildlife and the people. With every destruction of qmwild space, we kill hundreds of critters, including our native and endangered bix turtles.. Do you want to make a difference for your grandbabies? And the future of our planet..? Be smart.. preserve.. lets not become like Henrico.

What benefit does Hanover get by approving this project? I don't see any long term plan or even short term that would justify this project. The constant building of developments must come to an end or Hanover will be Chesterfield

We moved here to get some distance from the busy commercial area just to the west of i95. If the developer had an intention of contributing to improved roads and controls for the major impact on the traffic volume thus expansion would create on our roads and schools, I could see it , but of course the dont and won’t. I am totally opposed to this unnecessary development.

I am against rezoning.

We moved to the Rt 54 area recently from Mechanicsville to get away from the hustle and bustle and find an area that is still rural. We want to keep this area rural. This commercial development will have a negative impact on traffic, homes and businesses.

Please do not allow this commercial development on Rt.54 East of Ashland. We don’t need it and it will negatively impact existing homes and businesses.
