I understand the school's reasons for switching to schoology, but right now with the coronavirus was not the best time to make this switch. Please let us go back to google classroom, and introduce schoology at a better time if you must.

Considering the fact that Stratford has been using the Google ecosystem for quite some time now, I support this protest. The UI is just better, especially since us students use Chrome.

As a fellow student, let me share my opinion. There are pros and cons for both of them, so I won't be taking a side when listing these facts. Schoology isn't that bad. Sure, it might be laggy and horrible at times, but it has pretty useful features. Maybe us students aren't used to change, therefore we don't like these new experiences. Hey, one of the good features are that you can put folders in folders. (Pretty cool if you ask me.) Schoology is pretty hard to navigate, and it's not easy to see what your assignments are. Google Classroom is pretty easy to navigate, but maybe that's because of the way the layout is. Personally, if I were to see Schoology have a more modern look, I would want to use it more. Google Classroom is pleasing to the eyes, and doesn't really require a lot of thinking to navigate. One thing that Google Classroom doesn't have that Schoology has is the ability to have Google Forms and videos on the website instead of opening a new tab. Though it's glitchy sometimes, it's actually pretty nice. I believe that we don't like Schoology as much since we rely on technology a lot. We tend to use Google Classroom to see what is due easily. With Schoology, that isn't the case. Responding to Thien, Schoology doesn't actually log you out as often as Google Classroom. Since Google Classroom is connected to your email, it logs you out automatically when you automatically time out of your email. Yes, setting things up is a hassle and nobody wants to do that, but you can actually connect much more things with that feature, too. Well, I have nothing else to say, so I, the anonymous person, will bid you adieu.

also, on another note, the mods on schoology are very slow, and for student made answers to questions, it would take over an hour in order for to be posted, so I would like that to change as well. Also, for those of you who think this petition won't change anything, I think you're wrong. This petition will show the higher ups that we ALL have an opinion and voice, and if they refuse, it shows that they are ignoring the majority of students. It shows that those up there are flawed, and ignorant to the burdens that we, the students and even some of the teachers have to face. I'd like to point out that the teachers had to set something up JUST to access google drive, while google classroom is already connected to it. Finally, schoology logs us out one every couple of hours, and we don't even notice it. When the portal logs you out, at least it shows the log as a small window in the center of the screen, and google classroom doesn't even log you out, as it is connected to google/gmail.

I never really liked schoology. It is not user friendly, and would take around a week of training in order to get fully used to it. It is very unorganized, and is ill prepared for something like this. I understand that it is better now, but what if it crashes again. Elementary students have been using Google Classroom this whole time, and to suddenly transition into Schoology will just add another burden to their workload. Google Classroom has been tried, tested, and passed as a more than suitable platform for classwork. It is very visually pleasing, and is extremely easy to navigate. Schoology, however, is none of those. It is very plain, even boring, and you have to do so much just to get to one assignment. One of my teachers said "Wait until you see the cool things in it". I want to get this point across . . . there are none. And on a final note Stratford has not been one to change, and we need to change that, so I fully support this cause. I used to like schoology at the beginning,but now it is such a burden.I turn my assignments in,and it does not register it and it says I turned it in late.Turning in assignments is ridiculously hard and keeping track of everything is harder than ever.Google Classroom is better and easier to manage.I doubt this petition will change anything,but I hope it does.

Yeah, google classroom was a very good way of communicating between teachers and students, turning in assignments, posting random things, and grading. Stratford's reason for using schoology was becausethe teachers only had to post things ONCE, and they could combine the portal and classroom. Apparently, it was a problem to post it on 2 different sites, but google classroom also has a grading function, so I don't see all the fuss. Google classroom is simply better, and I really hope this works. I don'r think I can last 1 more day with schoology.

Google Classroom is the best. I mean, if children need to be tortured and given a hassle, then ALL HAIL SCHOOLOGY. I believe that we should use a laggy website like Schoology. Schoology is good, so we can lag out and the website can crash. It's also good since it will only take an extra hour tos ubmit an assignment since it is not connected to Google Drive. Why would I be sarcastic? Immediately go back to Google Classroom so our lives can be made easier, and we can submit our homework easily without any hassle.
