Taking German at Council Rock literally changed the trajectory of my life, for the better. Studying German as a foreign language opened my eyes to the world, and I cannot imagine my understanding of the world being what it is without the opportunity to study German. I think removing this from the curriculum is a huge, short-sighted mistake, as Germany is a major player on the global stage, as well as a leading economic power. Come on CR, you're better than this!

Taking three years of German got me ahead of my language requirement in college and now I'm even minoring in German! We need to keep German at CR

Great opportunity to learn a major European language. Also, had an incredible abroad opportunity to expand my knowledge regarding the culture.

This is absurd. Not only would this be putting hard working teachers out of work, but German is a very important language in global society, on a social and economic scale. Germans are some of the most industrious people in the world, and we need people to learn the language who have the desire to in order to keep global ties tight. I'm ashamed that my alma mater would even think to do this to hard working teachers and willing students.

I know many people who took German classes or who are currently taking them, and they love(d) them. It would be a shame to rob others of this opportunity, especially since our district would only offer three other languages, one of which is a dead language. Please keep the German language curriculum in our school district!

CRSD should remain the avant garde! German remains in the top for the Business and Science community. CRSD should remain committed to producing properly prepared 21st century citizens who can function in a globally interdependent world!

The German exchange program was one of my best experiences. If German is removed from Council Rock then so many other students could miss out on this amazing experience.

the German program at the council rock school district was CRUCIAL in my life. It helped me prepare for majoring in German at Temple University, and therefore enabled me to get into the career I am in today. Removing this language is a HUGE mistake.
