The school board reversed the budget proposal and kept our full-time psychologists in every elementary school. This success happened because you showed up and demanded that the district prioritize our children. Keep watching the board meetings to ensure this commitment stays in place for years to come.

If you are concerned about the mental health of the children in our district, please make your voices heard by signing below to let our school board and superintendent know that we need to continue to have a full-time psychologist in each in our elementary schools.  The proposed '12-'13 budget calls for two psychologists to cover the three schools which is an unworkable scenario for both general and special needs children.

We encourage you to write your own letter to the board and/or include any extra notes when you sign the petition.   Please forward this to friends and neighbors.   Our goal is 300 signatures before the April 10th vote.

The school board is still ignoring our demand for full-time psychologists but they cannot ignore the growing list of names. Email your representative today to reiterate that splitting these professionals across multiple buildings is a failure of duty. Post this link on Facebook to ensure every parent in the district sees the risk to our students.

The response to this campaign proves our community refuses to accept the proposed budget cuts. Text this link to three friends right now to ensure the school board understands that these mental health services are non-negotiable for our students.

Our teachers have enough on their plates already. They cant be expected to do the jobs of school psychologists too.

kids need consistency. splitting the staff between buildings is a recipe for disaster.

This is so short sighted. The emotional needs of these kids dont just go away because the board wants to save a buck.

Keep them full time. Simple as that.

my son really relies on his counselor and this would hurt so many kids who are already struggling. please rethink this budget cut.

Ridiculous proposal. One person cant be in two places at once. Leave our schools alone!
