Summer is for BBQs, sitting in the sunshine and cricket.
Not Football, especially not domestic football. Endless, incessant football chat fills up the background of our everyday lives more most of the year overflowing from the sports pages across the media so you can't avoid it.
Football is for cold muddy November afternoons, the first FA cup weekend after Christmas or a finale to the season on a spring Saturday.
I don't hate football. Sometimes I quite like it, but I don't want to hear about it until the end of September at the earliest.
So I call on the FA, the Premier League to shorten the season to give us a break and Keep Football out of Summer.
