I appreciated Father Tom in my interactions with him. He was kind and attentive. He listened to my concerns and was a breath of fresh air. I came away from my rite of Reconciliation a few weeks ago at my daughters first reconciliation humbled and inspired in my faith. I felt Father Tom was going to help the Sacred Heart community. I pray and hope that this issue will be resolved and that we can have clarity with those decision. Most importantly, I support Father Tom at this time.

My son is autistic and absolutely loves this man when he comes to see us at the CCF program. You really need someone like Fr. Miller during these hard times

I think Father Thom brings compassion, energy, and a fervency of spirit to Sacred Heart. I’d love for him to stay at Sacred Heart and Saint Raphael’s Parish.

The campaign is called The Church Alive! It seems just the opposite is happening, the churches are dying!

Father Miller has been great with our kids-Keeps them attentive during school masses at Sacred Heart, school functions & weekend masses. The children need consistency more than anything & with constantly changing priests they aren’t getting that. The kids love how interactive he is and don’t want him to leave. Father Miller has been doing great, Keep Father Miller!

So sad and SO evasive with the reason why!! Sacred Heart as well as St Raphael deserve to know the real reason. With the church’s stability not the greatest, this is just another reason to turn people away. Fr Thom has brought energy and enthusiasm and professes his faith with much sincerity.. He should not be pushed out of these parishes. . It is so unfair!!

I thought Father Thom brought an open mind and open heart which are both needed in the parish now.

Even though I am not a parishioner at Sacred Heart, my children are at Sacred Heart school. father THOM has been a delight since he joined and the kids like him. Why was there no transparency regarding this move? Is it a wonder people are fed up with the way the Catholic Church communicates with parishioners and non-parishioners alike? Please let us know the exact details and the reason why this occurred and no thought was given to concerned parents.

For the first time in many years Sacred Heart has felt warm and welcoming. Father Thom is a breath of fresh air. I'm afraid many long time parishioners will leave because of this decision.

During the 14 years I have bee an active member of Sacred Heart no priest has brought as much enthusiasm to this church community. This parish has been in dire need for someone like Father Thom. Before he arrived a once vibrant Awakenings program died out and the community had become fairly apathetic. Father Thom is an inspiration who cares about the spiritual needs of his flock by making the sacraments readily accessible to all. As a disabled person who relies others to get places, His approach has been a huge blessing! During the All School Mass I have witnessed him connect beautifully with the children. For the children's sake. The timing of this decision has been horrible, just as the 2nd graders are preparing for 1st Communion. They had just spent the last 4 months regrouping after losing Father Grecco and were getting attached to Father Thom. My daughter was upset yesterday when she learnt that he would not be the priest for that important day. Please reconsider this reassignment. Or at least let us have a chance as a parish community to have a voice in it. It seems that the timing of it has been rather hasty. Respectfully, Sonya Jones-Ivy

I enjoy Father Thom’s spirituality and enthusiasm. His homilies are always relevant and I appreciate the way that he incorporates the Saints and their stories as inspiration. I would be very sorry to see him go.

I am so angry and upset about the decision that has been made regarding Fr. Miller. He is one who has rekindled my faith and made me feel proud to be Catholic. After 13 years of degradation, he has provided a light in my heart and spirit. After I heard about the decision, I actually thought about changing my faith. I don't understand the decision to exile him to Greene County.
