Another disruption/distraction in our faith community. Our parish deserves an explanation for this.

Our parish and Father Thom need stability!

I thank God for Fr Thom and his ministry and am an admirer of his ability to connect with ALL God's children. He is needed, an asset to our R. C. Church.

I say we also petition to the Vatican to have Bishop Zubic reassigned out of the Pittsburgh Diocese. I feel his leadership is detrimental to the goals of the Pittsburgh Catholic community!

I am a member of Sacred Heart/St. Raphael Parish. Father Thom seems like a caring priest trying to do his best in a difficult situation. The proposed closing of St. Raphael School wasn’t his decision; he was just carrying out orders from the diocese. Petty, internal, non-Christian politics seem to be involved in some of the other issues. I was at the 11:30 Mass at Sacred Heart on Sunday, and felt sorry for him. Five months is nothing, and the comments indicate that Farher Thom is well-liked by the young people, who are, after all, the future (and in short supply in the Church). Please give him a chance, or at least be forthcoming about your reasons for this abrupt change.

Fr. Thom is an inspiring and caring priest. Please keep him at St. Raphael. (Hard to understand what the Diocese is trying to do to our parish.)

Father Thom is the kindest Priest.... he does not deserve to go because of a few parishioners that don’t agree. He is s reason I attend.

Please reconsider this!

I am signing the petition out of concern for what I think is a lack of transparency and accountability of the diocese in this matter.

Fr. Miller is a very kind and compassionate Priest who is attracting more individuals to the Mass and Sacraments. I believe Bishop Zubick's handling of this situation is a detriment to the Parish and Parishioners.

Communication with parishioners as a whole is sadly lacking in this Diocese which creates anger,suppositions,division instead of trust and security. Fr. Thom is a warm kind man as Fr. Chris is.They deserve support as do our parishioners .Only with love and kindness can the church remain alive.

I would like Fr Thom to stay at St Raphael/ Sacred Heart. He is very kind, energetic, and easy to talk with; and he has a way of getting us feeling excited about our Faith and sharing God’s Love with each other! We need a leader who we can relate to- someone who we trust to guide us in our Faith! I don’t know the reasons for wanting to move him so soon; I wonder what Fr Thom thinks about all of this. I hope they can come to a decision that is best for everyone. I enjoy going to his masses and hearing him spread the Good News, and hearing all of his joyful and peaceful thoughts! I think our Catholic schools are VERY Important to our neighborhood, and as long as he is willing to help us continue to educate our children in our Faith, he should stay here with us! I’m trying to trust in the Diocesan decisions, but it is very difficult with all this turmoil and disregard for how so many unwanted changes affect us. I’m focusing on God, and our Love for each other, and hoping these “man-made” decisions are made with all of our best interests in mind. God Bless
