Keep Families Together Act

Two students in the Social Work Department at Texas Woman's University are in favor of the bill-Keep Families Together Act and are trying to get signatures in support of it. Keep Families Together Act will prohibit an agent from removing a child under the age of 18 with no permanent immigration status from his or her parent or legal guardian. A lot of families have to flee out of their country for a better future for their families. It's not fair to separate children from their loved ones as a form of punishment. At the end of May of 2018, nearly 2,000 children have been separated from their families at the border. That's about 50 children per day who are removed from their parents and the number keeps growing. We have the support of Democrats, our goal is for Republicans to support it as well. "Love has no borders, families belong together".
