This is absurd! Enough is enough with the name-changing. This is getting WAY out of hand. Before you know it, they're going to try to ban or do away with any and all mascots and logos. All these poor people need to stop being so damn sensitive. If you don't like the Eskimo mascot, don't eat there. It's called having a choice. And, last time I checked, we had the right to choose in this country. It's like watching a movie on TV. If you don't like the programming, change the damn station. But, don't try to take away the programming just because you don't like it. Stop the madness!

I worked at Mexico Joes through night school and college. This is a place my family has gathered ever since we moved to Stillwater and Eskimo Joes is a place that my pals and I would go to unwind and get delicious food and great service. PLEASE don’t change the names and logos- it would not be the same!!!

Removing the Eskimo mascot from this restaurant is racist!! This is a continued effort by the racist left to sterilize commercial products and businesses from anything mentioning other cultures or races! There are caricatures of every race and creed on products across the world, it does not mean they are being disrepected. To assume this means everyone wearing a Joe's shirt for the last 45 years is a bigot and mocking Native Alaskan culture and people. That is illogical and simply false. At a minimum, it brought that culture to light in the unlikeliest of places, smack dab in the middle of Oklahoma. I'm proud of the Native Alaskans who have lived in rough conditions for centuries and taught us so much and I can be proud of an Oklahoma restaurant that has brought so much fun and joy to people over the years with their whimsical take on a "cool" culture and cool character! Eskimo Joe likely has been many children's first introduction to the Native Alaskan culture and sparked their curiosity about it. It should be celebrated.
