We, the students of Bowie State University, strongly oppose the decision not to renew Dr. Latson’s contract. For over 20 years, she has been a pillar of our community and a founding member of the Computer Technology (CTEC) program.

Dr. Latson has opened doors for countless students, securing internships and career opportunities with leading organizations such as FICO and Paritii. As an Executive Board Member of the HBCU Data Science Consortium, she ensures Bowie State students gain access to national networks and resources.

She is tough because she believes in us, pushing us to meet high standards and preparing us to succeed beyond graduation. Her passion, dedication, and care for her students are unmatched. Losing her would mean losing one of our greatest advocates.
