Doula support is very important and also keeps the nurses from having to do as much work with each client (thus keeping the hospitals bills lower).

There have been recent studies to show the major benefits of doula services. One of my favorite sources to share is this: https://evidencebasedbirth.com/the-evidence-for-doulas/ Please read it to better understand how and why doulas are becoming more essential to families.

I would not have been able to have a safe natural delivery without my doula... please don’t take an expecting mother’s doula away! They are 100% needed!

My doula was essential to my wellness and recovery following an unplanned c-section, easing my stress and anxiety and helping me to communicate my needs with hospital staff. Doulas are an essential support for better health outcomes for mothers and babies. Stress in childbirth works against the birthing process, and birthing mothers must be given all the support they require in this especially stressful time.

Doulas provide much needed support & will reduce need for intervention which also ties up hospital resources. Doulas help mother and baby relax which helps reduce post partum complications.

Doulas lower the risk of c-sections which is incredibly important to keep infection rates down right now.

It's already terrifying to give birth, women shouldn't have to go through it alone.

Doula's change lives. To create stress-less environment in this stressful time, it is imperative to have a trained DOULA be in the room of birthing persons.
